Day 20: Daily Joy.
My second day of feeling completely lousy and unwell. Yet totally amazed that Joy can still be found.
The fact it is Imbolc is joy in itself, knowing the earth is awakening, the birds are singing, despite the cold iron grey sky, Spring is a-coming. I almost want to bow down to the earth.
Today my small moments of joy surprisingly surpassed three.
1. The daffodils on the lawn finally opening.
2. A pinky orange sun rising out of the sea.
3. Listening to my daughter sing quietly in a made up foreign language.
4. Seeing the new fresh green of the beginnings of cow parsley.
5. Hearing evening bird song mixed with the sound of crashing waves rolling through the mist in the woods.
6. My puppy experiencing a warm shower for the first time after rolling in fox poo, and my delight when she realised the experience of warm water was pleasurable.
7. My daughters joy at my sharing my above joy and her thought of her getting to wash the puppy next time.
